Dr. Sandy Sooter

Greetings Excelsior families,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of Excelsior Charter School, Redlands Campus. My name is Dr. Sandy Sooter, and I am honored to join this incredible community dedicated to preparing students to be successful adults. I am excited to continue Excelsior's educational focus of uniting parents, students, and staff as an educational team that drives students toward their future goals of college, career, or military. As a parent of three Excelsior graduates who have achieved Associate degrees along with their high school diplomas, I have seen firsthand the power of our educational model in propelling students to succeed.

I bring with me a background in education, starting back in 1993 as a teacher’s assistant. I began teaching at Excelsior 10 years ago, serving as the Assistant Principal for the last two years at Excelsior’s Victorville Campus. I hold a B.A. in Music Education from CSUSB, M.A. in Gifted and Talented Education, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University. Prior to my career in education, I worked in the entertainment industry. I am passionate about arts education and continue to teach whenever I have the chance!

I am looking forward to a fantastic school year here at Redlands as our organization celebrates 30 years of excellence in education. Thank you for entrusting your children to Excelsior Charter School. “Together, preparing students to be successful adults”.
